She Called Me in a Panic — Here’s How We Fixed It

Last week, a mom called me at 7PM — panicked.
Her house was 95 degrees, the kids were melting, and the AC was blowing warm air.
She said, “I tried changing the thermostat settings and even vacuumed the vents. I don’t know what else to do!”
First thing I asked:
“When’s the last time you changed your air filter?”
“Have you noticed any ice buildup or weird sounds from the unit?”
Turns out:
Her air filter was clogged solid
Her coils were dirty
And the refrigerant was low
She had done everything she safely could as a homeowner — and that’s huge. (Changing filters, clearing vents = exactly what we recommend!)
But when it comes to low refrigerant and internal repairs? That’s where a pro needs to step in.
We got her system cleaned, recharged, and running better than ever — the same night. Her kids slept comfortably, and she texted me the next morning:
“Thank you SO much. You literally saved us!”
Moral of the story:
Regular maintenance matters.
DIY is great (up to a point).
Having a trusted HVAC tech on speed dial is even better.
If your AC isn’t keeping up (or you just want to avoid a meltdown later), let’s talk.
